HOMER CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH

We are an Open and Affirming Congregation of the United Church of Christ.
Worship with us, Sundays at 10:30am

Open and Affirming (ONA) is the United Church of Christ’s (UCC) designation for congregations, campus ministries, and other bodies in the UCC which make a public covenant of welcome into their full life and ministry to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. Churches also commit to welcoming people of all descriptions. [Read More]

Our Mission

The Homer Congregational Church Board of Deacons oversees many missions, both locally and globally.

Our church supports local missions including Loaves and Fishes, jail ministry, food pantries, CROP Walk, Habitat for Humanity and the Cortland County Council of Churches. On a National/Global Level we support Heifer International, Church World Service Mission Kits and mission trips to various locations. Our Dorothy Jane Andrews Mission Fund has enabled us to sponsor mission work such as assisting a Habitat for Humanity project in Honduras and an irrigation project in Guatemala. We have helped sponsor members who participated in UCC youth events in South Africa and have sent workers to Mexico and to New Orleans to assist in rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Katrina.

This year our CROP Walk event raised $1,435 – 25% of which comes back to the Homer Community!
